Homm vii factions11/7/2022 ![]() ![]() But they have a very weak early game and absolutely need necromancy racial trait or they will suffer mid game. Undead are fantastic because of how buffed ghosts got in this version of Heroes. If you choose to go magic instead, they also have excellent Fire mages. They may not look like it but they are very ranged focused. The Fire Giant Champion is incredibly strong, further boosting artillery for the class. You can clear the hardest stacks without losing anything if you go artillery however, you do lose out on magic and late game that will cause some serious issues. As mentioned before, they also have incredibly strong Ballista early game. Runes can be used for so many tricks like blocking, its very strong. You can level up really quickly and just a few units make a big difference.įortress have really strong Tier one units and have one of the strongest race talents in the game: runes. There's a lot of customization you can do but it depends on the map. ![]() Also has the best buff spells in the game. Haven also has one of the best talent tree's in the game, its so incredibly versatile, Holy requires some build up but has huge nuke pay off. Holy Haven is very strong late game but as rushing with wolves and priest early and mid game. Over all I would say the top 4 classes, in no order, Fortress, Academy, Haven and Undead. Unlike Slyvan, they do not need "mark" for it to be really strong. Fortress has a balista specific hero and their Fire Giants add even more damage. Classes that use it well are Slyvan, Haven and especially Fortress. The draw back is that you have to invest in balista for a long time. Magic is very strong late game and somewhat unbalanced.īallista specing is insanely strong borderline OP. Have fun ! If my answer is hard to read or need explanations feel free to ask !ĭepends what you go, Might or Magic. Rushing the opponent as intended simply does not work unless mistakes. They do have a powerful combo very quickly (on hero hit no counterattack, if assassins attack something that does not counter they hit twice) but sadly dungeon units have few hp and it's very sad for you. The haven only skill is really easy to use (you just have to try to win the battle for it to happen sooooo.) and helps a lot, you will often have "luck" on your side, so that's cool !ĭungeon should be good in medium map (quite good economy, able to spy at lesser cost etc) but they feel very outgunned against most people. Haven is, very very funny to play, hard units, few skills to use but they often are cool to use. I love their vampires and Ghost Dragons, but even Lichs feel weak. Necropolis should be good in any maps but really they often have trouble with academy units and they don't scale that well. Fire dragons are totally insane, with your heroes it's impossible for the computer to even make you feel in danger. In a big map it's really fun to see your hardass units conquer the map after a lots of grinding. Dwarves have a very very very slow early game but damn their late game is cool. That's why you can be "unfair" and go quickly to end game size of stacks.įor big map I choose dwarves (Stronghold or Fortress I don't remember which). In greater map, the opponent will have a lot of his good units, sadly yours will not win in a straight fight. ![]() You also have a building that double one unit's growth per week, in medium games you can have a LOT of units and push for the win. Why medium in particular you ask ? Well some of their building help a bit in early but mostly in mid game. The orcs are really fun to play, they play very differently than the other factions (you can't wait in a corner that easily), their heroes go from "meh" to "crush the opposition!" quite steadily, good stats, good skills, be it magical or might, you'll find a way to trample. Get a ballista as soon as you can, it'll help a looot with the right skills.įor medium map, I go with Bastion. Your last tier units (if you go there) are both very usable, I'd rather play with the forest dragon (defense is insane, poison is incredible.) but the ent has synergy with other units. Druids are really strong as a crutch for your weaker units, they do fall quite hard from grace later on. Wardancer is a great unit, but will feel alone on the frontline for quite a while. On small map I'd rather play Sylvans, their heroes does not need lots of levels to carry you, the rangers are totally stupid if you manage to protect them, fortunately the fairies and spirit will protect them. Usually, Academy is strong, they push easily and they do not need expensive units to wreck your day, their golems can rampage very easily early on and some factions (Hi Necropolis) can't really do shit against them before having access to their greatest units. ![]()
